Playa del Inglés Gran CanariaPlaya del Inglés Gran Canaria is, many would say, the liveliest town in Gran Canaria. Its reputation may be well justified seen all the bars, discos, cafes and the never ending night life. During the day, you can partake in the many sporting activities such as golf, diving and horse-riding or simply relax on the beach. Playa del Ingles has a very international atmosphere, and with the emphasis on enjoyment in this town, it is aimed at a younger crowd. There are many beaches that surround the town, such as Playa de las Burras, Playa del Ingles and Playa de Maspalomas, which is the most attractive.
The beaches and dunes in Maspalomas Gran Canaria are probably the best known on the island. The dunes indeed are worth a look, if for their natural beauty alone. The area has in total 29 beaches, included in these are Inglés, Maspalomas and San Agustin, which have been awarded the blue flag from the European Union.
Near Maspalomas, there is an oasis with dense vegetation, beside which is a small lagoon. It is quieter than Playa del Inglés and considered by some, more exclusive. It offers many of the same sporting amenities as its neighbouring resort, with surfing being available near the lighthouse. There is also the water park Aquasur, with numerous water slides and activities. For details contact: Aquasur |
